Bride of Christ, Arise
Acrylic on Canvas
Inspired by Scripture
Revelation 19:7 — “Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.”
Matthew 25:6 — “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’”
Description
Bride of Christ, Arise represents the Church as the beloved Bride of Jesus—chosen, loved, redeemed, awakened, and preparing for her Bridegroom.
She is not defined by her past, her wounds, the opinions of the world, or the battles she has walked through. Her identity is found in Christ alone. She knows who she is because she knows whose she is.
The Bride represents deep intimacy with Jesus, but also strength, courage, and spiritual authority. She is a Bride and a warrior—clothed in righteousness, covered by His grace, filled with the Holy Spirit, and standing firmly upon the Word of God.
The crown represents her identity and inheritance in Christ. The sword represents the Word of God—her truth, her weapon, and her foundation. She has walked through battles, endured refining, and yet she stands—her eyes fixed upon Jesus, her Bridegroom.
There is a call going out to the Church:
Bride of Christ, arise.
Awaken from slumber.
Remember who you are.
Remember whose you are.
Prepare your heart.
Keep your lamp burning.
Fix your eyes on Jesus.
The Bridegroom is coming.
My Prayer Over This Painting
My prayer is that everyone who sees this painting would hear the invitation of the Holy Spirit to arise.
May you know deeply that you are chosen, loved, redeemed, and called by name. May every lie that has caused you to question your worth, identity, or calling fall away as you remember who you are in Christ.
Holy Spirit, awaken Your Church. Draw us into deeper intimacy with Jesus. Purify our hearts, fill our lamps, strengthen our faith, and ignite within us a fresh hunger for Your presence.
Teach us to carry both the tenderness of the Bride and the courage of a warrior—deeply in love with our Bridegroom, yet bold and unwavering in truth.
May we be a Bride who knows His voice, carries His presence, loves fiercely, serves humbly, stands boldly upon His Word, and lives with our eyes fixed upon Jesus.
Bride of Christ, arise.
Lift your eyes.
Take your place.
Keep your lamp burning.
Prepare your heart.
Your Bridegroom is coming.
Come, Lord Jesus.
